Policy, health economics and implementation

To ensure our work and its outcomes make a real difference, we will work closely with policymakers, and our patient and public involvement panel (see Theme 5). Thus, projects will be designed with the best chance of informing policy, and changing practice to save lives, reduce illness and deliver health economic benefits. Many of the above interventions, such as multiplex PCR are comparatively inexpensive, and already beginning to impact in some LIMC settings. Others may be adopted initially in the less impoverished DAC settings, and rolled out further as prices come down.
