In this Richard T Johnson lecture, which is part of the Liverpool Neurological Infectious Diseases Course, Professor Gretchen Birbeck from the University of Rochester in New York, will be talking on Neurologic Morbidities from Paediatric Cerebral Malaria. This special episode will be a live lecture streamed from the sold out course, and a Portuguese audio option will be available. Neurological Associations of COVID-19: Study results from COPING and CoCo-Neuro27/10/2020 The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by SARS-CoV-2, is of a scale not seen since the 1918 influenza pandemic. Although the predominant clinical presentation is with respiratory disease, neurological manifestations frequent. In this episode, we will present results from two studies from the UK and France. The COPING study assesses the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on mental and neurological health, and how different factors associated with the virus are affecting the population. The CoCo-Neuro study characterises the neurological and psychiatric manifestations occurring in the context of Covid-19 infection and aims to improve clinical management, rehabilitation and follow-up. |
